As the Toridoll Group expands its business by developing new business formats, opening new stores, and expanding overseas, it continues to expand its contact points and influence with local communities. In order to earn the trust of local communities and society and fulfill our responsibilities as a good corporate citizen, we face social issues and undertake various initiatives.
The main themes of activities are the community, the next generation, social welfare, culture and sports, and disaster relief. Marugame City, Kagawa Prefecture is a special place for the Toridoll Group, which founded Marugame Seimen with the desire to spread the excitement of hand-made and freshly made Sanuki udon. For that reason, we have been supporting the restoration of the stone walls of Marugame Castle and putting up Marugame City tourism posters at Marugame Seimen's roadside shops. I am a cultural tourism ambassador.
We will further strengthen this relationship, and in April 2022, we will conclude a comprehensive partnership agreement for regional revitalization with Marugame City under the theme of "co-creative regional revitalization". We are promoting the regional revitalization of Marugame City with nine themes such as tourism, arts and culture, child-rearing support, and remote island development.

Utilization of the corporate version of the hometown tax payment and the formation of the “Three Islands Future Route Co-Creation Project”
Toridoll Holdings has implemented the 2022 corporate version of the hometown tax payment in order to connect it to Sanuki Hiroshima's "Remote Island Revitalization Support Project". At the tax payment presentation ceremony, we provided freshly made udon noodles made with tempura made from colorful vegetables harvested in Sanuki Hiroshima to the islanders and project members.
In the future, Toridoll Holdings will participate in this project itself, positioning the three years from 2022 to 2024 as an intensive revitalization period, and working to increase the number of visitors and immigrants to the remote islands.

The Toridoll Group actively engages in food education activities to teach children the joy, importance, and respect of food.
We hold the “Marugoto Marugame Experience Class” where you can actually try making udon by hand, as well as visiting classes in Cambodia as well as in Japan, and many children and their families participate. As a response to the novel coronavirus, we have taken various measures, such as moving the activities online, and in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2022, 46 families participated.
The Toridoll Group will continue its food education activities to support the healthy growth of children.
From 2015 to 2016, Marugame Seimen conducted the "Myanmar School Project" to donate 1 yen for each serving of kamaage udon sold in Japan, and donated approximately 13 million yen to Myanmar's elementary school construction costs.
Volunteers such as TORIDOLL Holdings employees went to the site during the construction process of the school building to help with the process and interacted with local children who were scheduled to enter the elementary school.
In addition, even after the project was completed, we continued to interact with the local children by participating in drawing classes and playing sports together.
* Currently, we are refraining from interacting due to the new corona infection.
Kitchen cars travel all over Japan throughout the year in order to deliver handmade and freshly made Marugame Seimen even in areas where there are no stores or where it is difficult for customers to visit.
For example, an elementary school child who ate Marugame Udon for the first time on a trip to Kagoshima City wrote a heartfelt essay about his impressions. In March 2022, we wanted to respond to that desire, and in March 2022, the first kitchen car landed on Amami Oshima, where there are no Marugame Seimen stores.
In fiscal 2021, we provided a total of 4,630 meals of udon 28 times to children's cafeterias, medical workers on the front lines of COVID-19, special nursing homes for the elderly, schools, and local governments.
Toridoll Holdings supports children's cafeterias that provide children with the joy of eating and rich meals. However, in 2021, due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, it was difficult to hold the children's cafeteria itself.
Therefore, after consulting with the members of the Social Welfare Council, we started providing free food as a food pantry from September 2020. In fiscal 2021, we provided 3,440 food items (total amount: 1,769,683 yen) free of charge to the Marugame City Council of Social Welfare, the Shinagawa Ward Council of Social Welfare, and the Saitama Children's Cafeteria Network.
Received an award for community welfare service from the Shinagawa Ward Council of Social Welfare for more than three years of support through food
In November 2021, Toridoll Holdings received a letter of appreciation from the Shinagawa Ward Council of Social Welfare at the Community Welfare Contribution Award.
Toridoll Holdings was previously headquartered in Osaki, Shinagawa Ward, and even after moving to Shibuya Ward, they are still engaged in various food-related activities in Shinagawa Ward.
For example, in cooperation with the children's cafeteria in Shinagawa Ward, we donate food such as food pantries, provide udon noodles in kitchen cars, and carry out food education activities.

We actively support "culture and sports," such as the "Toridoll Cup Championship" and the "TORIDOLL Rookie of the Year Award," which provide excitement and fun for athletes, and provide freshly made udon noodles at the stadium in a kitchen car. I'm here.
In Marugame City, Kagawa Prefecture, there is a local product called "Marugame Uchiwa", which is a national traditional craft. In order to publicize the appeal of Marugame Uchiwa, which is the handiwork of this craftsman, the Kagawa Uchiwa Cooperative Federation, Kagawa Prefectural Marugame High School, and the government are collaborating. I was.
Specifically, together with the students, we created a poster that communicates the charm of the event. From July to September 2021, posters were displayed at 649 Marugame Seimen roadside stores, and events such as handing out actual fans were held.
