We sympathize with the concept of High Conservation Value Forests (HCVF) and procure FSC-certified materials to contribute to sustainable timber production while maintaining current ecosystems. For example, Marugame Seimen's special takeout paper containers use forest-certified, environmentally friendly paper (FSC® certified).
Marugame Seimen in the United States has partnered with the Oceanic Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting marine wildlife and habitats, to donate 20% of its sales on Earth Day, April 14, 2021, to the Oceanic Society. Made a donation to its Blue Habits program that supports ocean health.

In order to understand the actual situation of cage-free egg farming, Toridoll Holdings conducted inspections of the cage-free egg farms from which we procure eggs and interviewed livestock farmers in June 2024, following up on the 2022 fiscal year.
We inspected the chicken coop, taking into consideration the "Technical Guidelines for the Raising and Management of Laying Hens," and found that the chickens had free access to sufficient water and feed, that the coop was open, well-ventilated and bright, had a surface area where they could take dust baths, and that the chickens were seen to be moving around healthily.
On the other hand, we also heard about the difficulties of managing individual chickens when raising them in a free-range environment, as well as the increased labor costs for livestock farmers.
We will continue to engage in dialogue with livestock farmers and work to collaborate.
The Toridoll Group recognizes the importance of sourcing pork for improved animal welfare without the use of sow gestation stalls.
Therefore, in some regions, we are partially sourcing from suppliers who are phasing out sow gestation stalls.
